Frequently asked questions

What services does Inspired Renovations offer?

We specialise in bathrooms, kitchens, built‑ins, media units, flooring, general plumbing and carpentry, and offer additional renovation solutions. Tell us your idea and we’ll recommend the best approach for your home.

How much does a visit cost?

Our standard call‑out fee is £90 (covers the first hour); additional time is charged per hour at £45. This covers on‑site assessment — minor repairs may be completed then. Materials are charged separately. Written estimates and measure‑up consultations are free.

How do your free estimates work?

After the visit we take measurements and photos and issue a written estimate detailing labour, materials (if supplied), timescales and any subcontracted work. Estimates can be revised if your brief changes.

Tell me about your promotions.

We offer a 10% new‑client sign‑up discount on labour only (capped at £1000) (excludes subcontracted/pass‑through services and supplied goods) and a bathroom bundle including ~£200 worth of products on qualifying new full bathroom installations. Eligibility confirmed in your estimate.

What is your cancellation policy?

Contact us ASAP to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations more than 7 days before start are usually free; within 7 days may incur charges (loss of deposit, subcontractor/material costs). Exact terms are in your estimate/contract.

How and when do I pay?

We require a deposit (specified in your estimate) to secure bookings, staged payments at agreed milestones, and final payment on completion. We accept bank transfers. Full payment schedule provided in writing before work begins.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — we hold public liability and employer’s liability insurance. Details available on request.

Do you handle planning permission or building regs?

Yes — we can advise and assist with applications or work with consultants. Any application fees are additional.

Do you clean up after the job?

Yes — we keep the site tidy during works and complete a final clean at handover.

Can I supply my own materials?

Yes — you may supply materials; we’ll agree timing, quality standards and storage. If we source items, supplier warranties are passed on.

How do you protect against damage to my property?

We use dust sheets, floor protection and containment as needed. We document pre‑existing damage before starting work.
